Jason A. Rose is a Partner at Burger, Meyer & D’Angelo with more than two decades of civil litigation experience, the majority of it in insurance defense. Licensed in Texas since 2001, he handles matters involving personal injury, premises liability, auto accidents, products liability, first-party suits, insurance bad faith, and breach of contract.
Mr. Rose has managed significant litigation dockets from initial pleadings through mediation, including construction defect, toxic tort, and transportation matters with values up to $5 million, and he has taken and defended more than 200 depositions. He investigates insurance fraud through examinations under oath, prepares coverage opinions, and delivers the periodic case evaluation reports that keep carriers informed at every stage.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Rose served as retained corporate counsel to a water-utility operations company and practiced labor and employment law, preparing matters for arbitration and hearings before the NLRB, EEOC, and Texas Workforce Commission. He is the author of “Ex Parte Arbitration: An Idiosyncratic and Unfair Default Rule,” published in Texas Lawyer, and is a member of the Houston Lawyers Association and a volunteer with Houston Volunteer Lawyers and the NAACP Legal Redress Clinic.
In his spare time, Jason likes to exercise and travel abroad.
