Biography

Grace Siekbert is a trial attorney with 14 years of experience advising both businesses and individual clients, including nearly a decade defending claims on behalf of a Fortune 100 national insurer. She represents business entities, individuals, and insurers in auto, trucking, and general liability matters across California, from on-site pre-litigation investigation to verdict, including after appeal. Since her early years drafting as in-house counsel, Ms. Siekbert has developed an appreciation for the challenges businesses and independent contractors face in a constantly changing legal and political landscape, especially in their relationships with one another.

In her prior role leading staff attorneys, Ms. Siekbert met with national claims leaders across commercial and personal lines to understand the challenges they face in resolving litigated claims. She knows what claims professionals need from defense counsel: early and candid case assessment, a litigation plan tailored to case-specific issues, and impactful reporting that provides for a full and objective evaluation. Her guiding principle is that a lawyer’s job is not to tell clients what they want to hear, but what they need to hear. That approach carries into her most demanding files: she has stepped into complex matters on the eve of trial preparation, quickly mastering large volumes of records so she can give clients an honest assessment and ready each case either for resolution or for the courtroom. Her recent trial results include verdicts below the defense’s statutory settlement offers, resulting in cost-shifting awards in her clients’ favor.

Ms. Siekbert earned her Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law, where she sat on the Executive Moot Court Board and served as Managing Editor of the Regent Journal of International Law. She is admitted to the State Bar of California and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and is a member of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.

When she is not practicing law, Ms. Siekbert enjoys finding new ways to build connection in remote work settings, mentoring associate attorneys, and planning bakery crawls in every city she visits. She resides in Southern California and is a passionate supporter of the San Diego Padres!  She also welcomes all bakery recommendations.
