Biography

David L. Herman joined Burger, Meyer & D’Angelo, LLP in 2025 after over 20 years of practice, including personal injury defense, consumer law, business litigation, personal injury, criminal defense, and municipal law. His practice at Burger, Meyer & D’Angelo, LLP specializes in personal injury, defense and insurance defense. 

Admitted to practice in California (2001) and before all California federal district courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Mr. Herman earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of California at San Diego, and earned his law degree from the University of California at Davis, where he was co-editor in chief of Environs, the UC Davis environmental law journal. His articles have been published in the Military Law Review and Environs, and he has done presentations and written practice guides on open government, public records law, and local government taxation and assessments. 

When not in the courtroom or office, Mr. Herman enjoys new restaurants, plays and concerts with his wife Cindy, and hiking throughout California. He is also an experienced distance runner with almost a dozen marathons and half-marathons completed in 2024 and 2025 alone.
