Biography

Audrea Dakho is an associate attorney at Burger Meyer & D’Angelo, LLP, where her practice focuses on complex litigation and insurance defense.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Dakho served as in-house counsel for a national insurer, where she provided legal defense and strategic representation on behalf of the carrier and its insureds. Ms. Dakho also previously served as an Assistant Defender with the State Appellate Defender Office in Detroit, representing individuals in felony appeals and post-conviction proceedings before Michigan trial courts and the Court of Appeals, including matters involving constitutional challenges, sentencing issues, and claims of ineffective assistance of counsel.

Ms. Dakho earned her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law, where she received the Jurisprudence Award in the Immigration Clinic and served as President of both the Criminal Defense Association and the Middle Eastern Law Student Association. She also holds a Master of Science in Criminology & Criminal Justice, with High Distinction, from the University of Michigan–Dearborn. Her background includes significant civil rights and criminal litigation experience through fellowships, clinics, and national advocacy organizations, as well as teaching experience as a lecturer in restorative justice and criminal justice studies. Ms. Dakho is admitted to practice in Michigan and Louisiana and is fluent in Arabic and Chaldean.

In her free time, Ms. Dakho enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
