Caitlyn M. Hobbs is a senior counsel in the Ladera Ranch office of Burger | Meyer, LLP. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hobbs’ practice focused on business litigation, with particular emphasis on employment litigation, class actions and complex commercial disputes. She has litigated a wide range of labor and employment matters, including defending employers against wage and hour and discrimination class actions, and retaliation, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and whistleblower claims in federal and state courts, as well as in administrative proceedings and arbitrations. She has also worked on the plaintiff’s side of class action litigation in cases that have successfully settled prior to trial that resulted in millions of dollars in recovery for the class.
In addition to handling employment matters, Ms. Hobbs also represented clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation, including consumer class actions, trademark and trade secret disputes, and other disputes involving unfair business practices and business torts.
Ms. Hobbs’s career has spanned approximately 18 years, during which she has handled all aspects of litigation including countless depositions, law and motion matters and hearings before the state and federal courts.
Ms. Hobbs enjoys spending time with her husband and two children doing all sorts of outdoor activities.
