Charles Meyer has nearly two decades of experience litigating high-stakes matters for a variety of corporate clients in the areas of automobile accidents, premises liability for resorts, amusement parks, and athletic associations, construction defect, and financial services litigation.
Mr. Meyer is licensed and actively litigates matters in California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada. He also oversees national portfolios of litigation matters for various firm clients.
As the head of Burger Meyer’s defense practice group, Mr. Meyer works to stay ahead of national trends and stays closely in tune with the changes in litigation tactics around the country.
Mr. Meyer received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of San Diego. He returned to the University of San Diego School of Law for law school, earning his Juris Doctor in 2007, where he served as an editor for the law school’s International Law Journal. He has also been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the years 2014 through 2017.
Mr. Meyer was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. The son of a trial lawyer, Mr. Meyer grew up around his father’s firm and the practice of law. After high school, Mr. Meyer left Seattle to attend the University of San Francisco to play baseball. After his time on the hilltop in San Francisco, Mr. Meyer ultimately transferred to the University of San Diego to complete his undergraduate degree. When not working, Mr. Meyer enjoys playing golf and softball, and spending as much time as possible with his wife Zarah, and two children, Ace and Rose.
